Rapid Regional Expansion - Mobile Content Group An international mobile content group was in the process of rapidly expanding greenfield operations across North and South East Asia, growing from 3 to 60 employees over the course of 8 months. Salzer Consulting was engaged to design and implement a rapid executive search and recruitment initiative to successfully source and hire a local team at all levels, to build an Asia business from scratch. Industry Challenges and Technical Resourcing The Industry was going through a period of exceptional demand and sourcing quality personnel at each level was a considerable challenge. Further, several issues needed to be considered in planning the project, including understanding the technical requirements of each position together with the attitudes needed to create a corporate culture compatible with the parent group. The Manpower Plan The model was developed to project manage the rapid hiring process. This ensured all due processes were in place and that cost-effective methods of recruitment were used to deliver the best candidates on-time, on-specification and on-budget. A multi-phased process, it enabled the in-flow of staff to coincide correctly with the overall project implementation schedule. The steps included analysing the selection processes required for each position, controlling implementation time, ensuring reliable resource availability, that the critical path schedule was maintained and that the workforce could deliver. Through the introduction of the “Manpower Plan”, Salzer Consulting successfully managed personnel growth rates whilst developing HR capabilities.
