Regional Director - Global Logistics Group A global leader in the pallet-pooling industry was reviewing their strategic direction with a view to redefining themselves in the inter-continental arena. Requirements The company’s growth had lead to a need for a senior manager to be located “on the ground” to oversee the entire Asian operation – a leader who had a depth of Asian experience, coupled with a real knowledge of the supply chain and/or logistics industries across the region. Process Salzer Consulting took on board the organisational requirements of the company in order to closely understand the company’s strategic plans, corporate culture and growth challenges in order to identify and bring forward the best-qualified candidates. Utilising a multi-channel methodology of advertising, proactive executive search, database search and viral marketing, Salzer Consulting identified key players and hidden talent within the industry. Key Skills Deep logistics skills and Asia knowledge were not in their own sufficient to ensure the successful integration of the candidate into this role. The role also required that the appointee had a strong track record within the pooling industry, and preferably an understanding of the IBC markets.
